We recommend opening and testing your jellyfish lamp immediately after purchase.

Instructions for set up:

1. Remove cap
2. Add water to the top (distilled water is recommended) 
   
3. Connect power plug and turn on and keep running for 10 minutes before the next step 
4. Add beads 
5. Add 8 drops of dish detergent
6. Put the cap back on (making sure the water is full up to the black plastic)
   

For best performance and durability of the unit, it will switch off automatically after 4 hours of operation.
